Rawan Anani is a Palestinian artist who was born in Jerusalem in 1978. Lives currently in Montreal - Canada.
She is a member of the Palestinian Artists Union since 2015. The daughter of the well known Palestinian artist Nabil Anani. When she was a little girl she spent a lot of time in her father's studio watching him and learning from him some art techniques.
In her paintings, the Palestinian heritage is always present whether through the Palestinian folkloric dresses, calligraphy, Palestinian landscape or even by the Palestinian old houses. She also tends to focus on Palestinian women, symbolizing the land, productivity and resilience.
Her real inspiration comes from the distinctive colors of the Palestinian dress, as well as the architectural beauty of the old houses in the Palestinian cities.
She participated in many exhibitions in Palestine and abroad.
